A few kind words from our valued clients & peers...
“We’ve worked with Dan Hollier over a few years now including a number of Collectors’ Space installations for Art Month Sydney as well as other 10 Group projects. Whether a major installation or a small one off project, Dan brings his quiet focus to his work - he is patient, fastidious and has exceptional attention to detail. His artistic outlook ensures he understands the purpose of the brief - the ‘why’ - and can add value to it with original thinking, as well as his craftsmanship. He’s reliable and a pleasure to work with, which is why we keep doing just that.”
Paul Becker, Founder & CEO at 10Group
I am very excited about the creation of The Operative. Kelly and Dan are dedicated art advocates with a wealth of experience and a background that extends across the entire cycle of art from creation to display. The Operative is an asset to Sydney and its creative landscape and I look forward to seeing how their projects develop and watching this wonderful initiative grow.

"Dan Hollier is without a doubt my preferred installer for Sydney. He is pragmatic, quick thinking and renders spaces to the absolute optimum of production standards. His knack for understanding different tropes of art, design and their context means he doesn’t just undertake projects but enhances them."
Ella Barclay, Sydney based artist
"I was fortunate to work with Kelly during the salad days of warehouse living in the inner city of Sydney running an artist run space together. Despite the haphazard often chaotic nature of things, Kelly was level headed, generous with her time, and supportive. It’s no wonder that Gaffa has thrived as a sustainable business, bringing together so many great artists and designers, in a city that doesn’t always feel so welcoming for artists. I look forward to working with Kelly again as she steps out in her newest outfit The Operative. Good things ahead!”

Artereal Gallery has had the pleasure of working with Dan Hollier on a regular and ongoing basis for over two years now. Daniel does all of our exhibition installation and deinstallation work on a monthly basis as well as assisting with the construction of custom made plinths and movable gallery walls etc. Daniels's attention to detail, calm and attentive manner and problem solving skills make him an absolute professional to work with. We have grown quite dependent on Dan for his skills and the insight he offers us on a wide range of matters from install to deinstall, packing and crating logistics, to the day-to-day challenges of physical maintenance of the gallery and building."

I first met Kelly in 2006 when SafARI was looking for alternative exhibition venues in Sydney. Since this time I have followed with great enthusiasm, her ability to manage and realise an innovative vision for Gaffa as an alternative venue offering emerging artists a much needed outlet in the heart of Sydney. Kelly's approach is professional and sympathetic to the needs of practitioners. Her ability to identify and cater for these needs demonstrates her assertiveness as a leader and her commitment to the sector. Over the years, Kelly has developed one of the largest resident artist and casual access workshops dedicated to the metal-smithing discipline in Australia, and has overseen the set-up of over 20 start-ups and exhibited over 400 emerging artists and designers. Kelly has consistently engaged and supported her peers making Gaffa's trajectory a product of Kelly's ability to stay focused and to lead by example.
